Petty Officer 1st Class Carolyn Adams, a native of San Antonio, Texas, serves in the U.S. Navy assigned to Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego, California. Adams graduated from Highlands High School in 2005.Adams joined the Navy 13 years ago. Today, Adams serves as a gas turbine systems technician (electrical). “I joined the Navy to be able to travel more,” said Adams. “Where I am from is the entry point into the Air Force. However, I wanted to experience the world more and the Navy travels the most. I also wanted to follow in my family’s footsteps. My great-great-grandfather was a Seabee and my father was a hospital corpsman.”
