KONO Soldier Salute - Maj. Gen. Philip J. Ryan

KONO salutes Major General Philip J. Ryan, Commanding General, U.S. Army South, Fort Sam Houston, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. MG Phil Ryan is a 1992 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He holds master’s degrees in management from Webster University and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. MG Ryan assumed U.S. Army South command on 28 June 2024.

Tory Christopher

Tory Christopher was born in Wiesbaden, Germany while his dad was on Tour of Duty with the USAF. He grew up in San Antonio and moved to California at age 19, where he became a professional Roller Derby skater with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds while attending broadcasting school.
