Audie Murphy in "To Hell and Back"
KONO salutes Army First Lieutenant and Texas native Audie Murphy. The most decorated combat soldier of World War II, Murphy also had a 21 year acting career, was a song writer and breeder of Quarter Horses. The Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio is named in his honor. Murphy was also a Major in the Texas Army National Guard.

Tory Christopher was born in Wiesbaden, Germany while his dad was on Tour of Duty with the USAF. He grew up in San Antonio and moved to California at age 19, where he became a professional Roller Derby skater with the Los Angeles Thunderbirds while attending broadcasting school.
