Eric Carman, who gave us one of our favorite songs from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, has passed away at the age of 74. His cause of death is not yet public.
His career spans two decades before he stepped out of the limelight in 1988. He reemerged in 2000 as a part of the Ringo Star All-Star band. In 2007 he got the band back together, The Raspberries that is, to record a live show at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. In 2007, Eric was 57 and could still wail.
Here is the Band doing Go All The Way from that show in 2007.
Eric Carman, from Cleveland Ohio, was one of the founding members of The Raspberries in 1970. The band recorded four solid albums before they broke up in 1975. Eric Carman’s solo debut was a huge success with three top 40 hits. It would be another 12 years before Eric Carman topped the charts again and in 1987 recorded his biggest “Hungry Eyes” from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.
