Entrepreneur Mark Cuban bought the town of Mustang in Navarro County, Texas in November and told The Dallas Morning News it was for a friend, WPXI reported.

Mustang is a 77-acre town southeast of Dallas, originally founded in the 1970s as the only place in Navarro County where people could buy alcohol, KDFW reported.

A 2010 census listed the population of the town as 10, and Mustang includes a wastewater treatment facility and a volunteer fire department, The Houston Chronicle reported in 2017.

Mustang was originally put up for sale in 2017 for $4 million before the price dropped to $2 million, the Midland Reporter-Telegram reported. What Cuban paid for the town is unknown.
