The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies were called to the McDonald’s for a report of an intoxicated customer who threw trash at an employee and was asked to leave.

Deputies identified the suspect as James Beach, and said that he had “paired his breakfast entrée with an alcoholic beverage” that he had brought into the restaurant.

When an employee at the restaurant noticed Beach was drinking, he was asked to leave, which caused him to become belligerent, police told WTTG.

Deputies found Beach nearby and arrested him on charges of assault and battery and public intoxication. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail “until sober enough to participate in a bond hearing.”
