We’re on a mission to create inclusion while breaking mental health stigma, so wear your hiking heroes shirt! FREE Event As the migrating monarch butterflies continue their journey through Texas, Natural Bridge Caverns is hosting Butterflies and Blooms on Saturday, September 25 from 10-4. This free family-friendly event will teach kids and adults about the importance of diversity of habitat, how to recognize butterflies at each stage of development, and offer guests free seeds for planting. There will also be activity and planting stations for kids, instagrammable photo spots (complete with butterfly wings), live music, and a butterfly and blooms scavenger hunt. The Natural Bridge Caverns landscape team will be on hand to answer questions about the wide array of plants throughout the property that support pollinators as well as the types of butterflies attracted to them. Síclovía is hitting the street on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 10a-2pm. Join us on our Mission Reach Route, from Roosevelt Park to Confluence Park. Síclovía, organized by the YMCA of Greater San Antonio is a FREE event that turns major city streets into a safe place for people to exercise and play. In partnership with the City of San Antonio, the Y will make 2.7 miles of San Antonio streets temporarily car-free. During the event, the streets will belong to individuals and families to run, ride bikes, participate in exercise classes and enjoy their city streets.

Health officials said there is not enough blood on hand to treat trauma cases and patients who need emergency surgeries and procedures. The facilities are open during daylight hours. Same-day appointments and walk-in donations are being accepted. Officials said donors can call 210-731-5590 for information or to make an appointment, or they can visit SouthTexasBlood.org.
