The award winning Reagan Fine Arts Department presents the most beloved musical of all time “The Sound of Music”.   Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do Re Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. Free N95 masks arebeing distributed in the San Antonio area. HERE IS where to get yours.

Each person is limited to three free masks

  • Costco
  • CVS Pharmacy- CVS Health said customers can request masks at the front of store checkout and signs will be posted to indicate N95 mask availability. For the CVS pharmacies in Target, free N95 masks will be available at the pharmacy counter.
  • H-E-B Pharmacy- H-E-B officials said customers can visit their H-E-B Pharmacy and receive up to three N-95 masks for free, while supplies last. For instructions on how to properly put on and take off masks, visit the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services website.
  • Sam’s Club
  • Walmart
  • Walgreens- In a statement from Walgreens, the pharmacy said they will have in-store signage indicating store participation in the federal program. They will also frequently update their N95 mask program store locator list as shipments arrive in-store.

Grab your hard hat and put on your safety vest — the Building Buddies need your help! The Building Buddies traveling exhibition portrays a small community where everyone is busy working on their homes. Different characters, “buddies”, invite young children to play, explore, collaborate, create and learn while improving the “neighborhood”. The exhibition is a playful and iconic interactive immersive environment. The durable modular design of the exhibit is easy to assemble and can be configured to fit various space configurations. Blood donations, especially types O negative and positive, are still urgently needed

Health officials said there is not enough blood on hand to treat trauma cases and patients who need emergency surgeries and procedures. The facilities are open during daylight hours. Same-day appointments and walk-in donations are being accepted. Officials said donors can call 210-731-5590 for information or to make an appointment, or they can visit SouthTexasBlood.org.
