You know it’s Christmas time when you see the decorations, the lights, hear the Christmas music, have a debate whether “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie, and when you see Corona’s “O Tannenpalm” commercial on tv (which turns 30 this year)!

Jim Sabia, chief marketing officer of Constellation Brands Inc.’s beer division said ““We’ve tried over the years to come up with another holiday ad, and every time we look at the storyboards and concepts we go back to this,” Mr. Sabia said. “It’s so simple, powerful and emotional. It’s extremely hard to beat.” (WSJ)

Originally airing in 1990, Corona’s “O Tannenpalm” commercial is the 3rd longest-running commercial and a holiday tradition.
