Boz Scaggs to release his first album in seven years

The musician, best known for such songs as "Lido Shuffle" and "JoJo," is set to release Detour on Oct. 17, described as "a captivating and deeply personal exploration of the Great American Songbook." The album has Scaggs offering up his take on classic songs like "The Very Thought Of You" and Allen Toussaint's "It's Raining."

Another track on the album is a new take on his own song "I'll Be Long Gone," which appeared on his 1969 self-titled debut. It is now available via digital outlets.
