Why did the schoolkids cross the road? To get to the ice cream, of course. Beverly is an 87-year-old school crossing guard who feels that her responsibility to the children goes beyond making sure that they are safe crossing the street. Well, when temperatures were soaring into the triple digits recently, Beverly decided to start bringing a cooler to her corner with ice cream bars and cold water. Of course the kids loved the ice cream! But Beverly feels that it not just about giving them something to help with the heat, but really it’s about teaching them kindness at an early age. Beverly, I couldn’t agree more and thanks for giving us an extra reason the smile and feel good this morning!
