Rod Stewart hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy," the first single off his ninth studio album, Blondes Have More Fun.

The song spent four weeks at #1 in the U.S.

"Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" was Stewart's third #1, following 1971's "Maggie Mae," and 1976's "Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright)." His only other #1 came in 1994 with "All for Love," which also featured Bryan Adams and Sting.

In January of 1979, Stewart performed the song at the United Nations General Assembly at the Music for UNICEF concert. He wound up donating all the royalties from the song to UNICEF.
