Background:  The San Antonio Funders’ Group recently developed a common grant application in which participating funders have agreed to use the same wording in their narrative questions.  This means that nonprofits can write their narratives once and “recycle.”  Eight funders have expressed an interest in using it so far.The Workshop:  To make this process easier, the San Antonio Area Foundation is hosting a three-hour workshop on how to address each narrative question in the common grant application.  The workshop will also include a section on general grant tips from the San Antonio Funders’ Group.  The lead instructor is Anne Connor, Director of Community Grants at Methodist Healthcare Ministries, with assistance from several other funders who will provide hands-on assistance with writing exercises in small groups.
