Special Six Course Meal Features Guest Chef and Boiler House’s Moore
Boiler House Texas Grill & Wine Garden is fanning the flames to make this New Year’s Eve one to remember, offering a special menu and wine pairings served up by Boiler House’s own Executive Chef James Moore and special Guest Chef Jesse Perez. The evening is guaranteed to end the year with a bang.
New Year’s Eve Boiler House-style features a special six course prix fixe menu including three dishes crafted by Boiler House Executive Chef James Moore and three dishes created by special Guest Chef Jesse Perez of Arcade Midtown Kitchen, a neighbor restaurant opening at The Pearl in 2013. The six course menu is $65 per person and includes:
First: Chilled Smoked Sturgeon, Caviar Creme Fraiche
Second: Moroccan Quail Medallions, Pomegranate Molasses
Third: Confit Rabbit Terrine, Pickled Mustard Seed Aioli
Fourth: George's Bank Diver Scallops, Smoked Oyster Stew
Fifth: Balsamic Braised Cabrito, Goat Cheese Farro Risotto
Sixth: “Crispy & Salty” Chocolate Bar
And that’s not all—in addition to special surprises the chefs have up their sleeves, the evening includes two different wine pairing options. Six half glasses of wine to pair with the courses is $25 per person, or a premium wine option features six half glasses for $45 person. The wine pairings are separate from the meal pricing.
New Year’s Eve will feature live music 8:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Midnight will be celebrated with a balloon drop and complimentary champagne toast. Dinner seating times range from 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., with the restaurant closing at 2:00 a.m. that night. For reservations, call 210-354-4644. And if you’re looking for the perfect spot to start 2013 off right, Boiler House will be open New Year’s Day, offering lunch, dinner and brunch, making Boiler House the place to be night or day.
The special New Year’s Eve meal is an opportunity to enjoy the talents of two of San Antonio’s hottest chefs. The collaboration of the dinner is a reflection of how The Pearl has become a culinary destination raising the bar for San Antonio dining. The largest and newest culinary offering at The Pearl, Boiler House is a vibrant and energetic restaurant with a Texas soul that features Texas gourmet cuisine and fine wine from around the world. Opening just four weeks ago, the restaurant has quickly gained national attention and acclaim, as well as dedicated local fans.
Chef Perez’ Arcade Midtown Kitchen is set to open in early 2013, specializing in modern American cuisine. The restaurant is named for the architectural feature of a succession of arches along the exterior of The Pearl building that the restaurant will call home.
Housed in the original boiler house that powered the Pearl Brewery during its heyday, Boiler House Texas Grill & Wine Garden is a high-energy space, mixing urban and industrial to honor the feel of the old boiler house and infusing a Texas-style chic, creating the perfect watering hole to gather with friends, family or colleagues for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch or an evening out. The restaurant is located at 312 Pearl Parkway, Building 3, in the shadow of the iconic Pearl brewhouse. Parking is available in the Koehler Garage, as well as in Pearl surface lots. Boiler House is regularly open Monday – Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Thursday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – Midnight; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – Midnight and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
