Dave Rios

PLAYING GREAT MUSIC AND GIVING AWAY THE BOSS’S MONEY!

Who wouldn’t love that profession? Now, after 23 years (in-a-row) at KONO 101.1, Los Angeles, California-born Dave Rios celebrates an adjacent anniversary… Sobriety.

Coincidence? No. God-Incidence.

An Attitude of Gratitude that seems to resonate early in the morning without taking life too-seriously.

Loves Reading out-loud and shares that joy with over a thousand kids every year. Sharing simple stuff that makes living in Military City U.S.A. the coolest, like free family fun on Downtown Tuesdays. Sharing the Story of The John Santikos Legacy and how one man left a fortune to benefit our community be sure to ask him about it. And taking you inside the San Antonio Children’s Shelter every year to share heartbreaking & heartwarming stories from some of the Alamo City’s most precious citizens.

The late Father Eddie Bernal once shared that what we do as broadcasters is our ministry. The people you come in contact with and help is your ministry too. Love & Service is what this life is all about.

So you can see why 23 years has flown by in the blink of an eye and how every one of those days, the good and the not so good, has been a blessing. Just like someone, perhaps Eleanor Roosevelt, once said…

"YESTERDAY’S HISTORY

TOMORROW’S A MYSTERY

And

TODAY IS THE GIFT

THAT’S WHY IT’S CALLED THE PRESENT."

Sharing, Caring & Being There on your radio, online and the KONO APP.
